Alex's most excellent adventure
to the Koala Paradise -
Lone Pine Koala Sanctuary

On Saturday the 30th March Alex joined his Mummy and Daddy for a visit to the Lone Pine Koala Sanctuary.

Lone Pine, the largest koala sanctuary in the world, has its own web pages. The Lone Pine Koala Sanctuary was founded in 1927 and now houses over 130 koalas, big, small, young and old. They are all in excellent health and have no shortage of koala food

We were met on arrival by the sanctuary's marketing manager, Robert Friedler, and introduced to some of the staff.

All the staff were so nice. Juanita introduced Alex to Rosa, (on the left of screen) and then to the bigger 7 year old Rocky (on the right of screen) who was almost as tall as Alex (when Alex was sitting down!)

A little later Mummy, Daddy and Alex had a photo taken with Jackie who was such a cute and cuddly koala who loved have her photograph being taken, especially with Alex.

The Lone Pine Koala Sanctuary was full of visitors from all over the world, the place was so peaceful and everybody was so happy there.

Max wanted to know if he could spend some time with the new friends that he had made. There were Joeys, Dingos, Wallabys, Wombats, Emus, Ecidnas, amazing big Bats and blue tongued Goannas. As you can imagine he had a lovely day. Mummy had to be very firm and explain to Max that there were many more adventures that he would have to share with Alex and that we would most certainly come back to this most excellent place for both koalas and people.

Return to Koala trouble series.
