My name is Mikey and I am seven years old. I read your story to my four year old little brother and we thought it was so cool to have your very own story with pictures on the computer. Keep up the good work!

Dear Alex,
I've just read your story and loved it. What will Max get up to next, I wonder. By the way, I'm the editor of an all Australian magazine called Computer Living - you might have heard of it. We write about how to use computers and the internet at home and school. We also have a Computer Living Home Page designed especially for people like you and your parentts at http://www.idg.com:80/living.world/. If you have time, between reading all your mail, perhaps you could check it out and tell me what you think of it. In the meantime I will talk to my web master about creating a link to your web page.

All the best for the future and thanks for brightening my day with Max's adventures.

Bye, Sue Ashton, Editor Computer Living.

Dear Alex,

We really liked your story. My Mum and Dad are from Australia and I was born here, in the USA, which makes me both Australian AND American. I always like to read stories about Australian animals. My Mum is very happy because we can watch Blinky Bill and Bananas in Pyjamas on our TV now. I am 8 years old and would love to have a penfriend from Australia. Or maybe an email friend? You could email me through my mother's account: gpollard@stat.yale.edu

Subject: Max's Koala Food Story

Ah Alex.
The new story is wonderful. Before I became a storyteller I used to work for Greening Australia. My job was to help lots of people plant Koala food trees. So it was great to see you create such an elegant story. I love your paintings. Do you do them on your computer? Or do you paint them on paper first and then scan them in?

I wonder who Max's best friend is?

Keep up the good work.

Warm thoughts Daryll.

p.s. thanks for the acknowledgement

(DARRYLL HELPED ALEX WITH THE KOALA FOOD IDEA).
