Subject: Max

Dear Alex,

I found Max!!! He's cute.
I whispered to him and he was curled up in my bed.
He's so comfortable he doesn't want to leave.

What do I do??

I've tried everything. I liked your book. maybe I could write one too.

Here's an idea...How about Max at the Amusement Park. I know that I love it...I am sure he will too. I play with Max every day he's a lot of fun. What's his favorite foods?

Maybe he can sleep in my bed tonight. He will!!

I'll tell him to go home tomorrow.
Okay? Thanks.

Your friend..

Ashley Hartz

We found Max on Mama's and Ati's bookshelf. He said that he was very well. We told him to go home because his friends were missing him. He'll be there soon.

Love from Elana. Age three and a half.

My 2 1/2 year old has been getting very frustrated when I'm working on the computer...He wants to "play" too!

Your stories did the trick.

The pictures are big enough so he can navigate the mouse and click on the appropriate object.

GREAT IDEA!!

Hi Alex , my name is Annie Balson. I live in Canada. I am seven years old and in September I am starting grade two. Your page was really cool! In March I turn eight years old.

I have a brother named Alexander Balson, he is two years old. This is the first time I have used the Net and I think it is really cool that I can talk to someone in Australia because it's so far away.

My dad says that Balson is an uncommon last name and that a long time ago, we had relatives from England who moved to Australia. I wonder if you're a long lost cousin?

Subject: I found Max!

Dear Alex,

Tonight after I read your story, I thought I saw gray fuzz sticking out of my toy bin. Sure enough, when I checked, there was Max! He said he came over just so he could keep me company tonight -- so tomorrow morning, I will put him on the first flight back Down Under to Australia. He promises to come back to southwestern Virginia, USA and visit me as soon as his next adventure is done. That should be about tomorrow night some time. *grin*

My name is Alena Naff and I am an 8-year-old girl in third grade near Blacksburg, Virginia. I might send you another adventure for your stories of Max. Don't you think Max should have a last name? Is Max your pet? If he is, do you live in Australia, because if you didn't, he would probably die, because he would not have regular food. If you don't live in Australia then what does he eat?

How old are you? Do you go to school? When you get this letter, please write me back and fill in the questions.

Thank you and 'bye'... *** Alena ***
